Sawdust-strewn floors, antique ceiling fans, a piano player in the
loft above the bar and a magician provide the atmosphere in this
lively restaurant. RJ’s specializes in ribs, cooked over oak or
hickory. Other entrees include chicken, lobster and steak,
accompanied by a variety of side dishes. The salad bar is very large
and the dressings are all homemade. Desserts are baked on the
premises and like the entrees are gigantic. The bar stocks over
400 liquors and 50 beers from around the world. Open for lunch
Monday–Saturday 11:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m. Dinner Sunday–Thursday
is from 4:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday to 11:00 p.m.

Their main
attraction is their gigantic salad bar, which includes 3 fresh-tossed
salads such as caesar salad and won ton chicken; a large assortment
of fresh cut produce, dressings and toppings together with several
signature prepared salads such as Artichoke Rice Salad, Tuna
Tarragon, and Picnic Potato Salad. They also offer made-fromscratch
soups, hot pastas, a variety of freshly baked muffins, pizza
focaccia and other breads. Finish your meal with a selection from
the bakery and dessert bar. Beer and wine. Open Sunday–Thursday
from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., and until 10 p.m. on weekends.

Located at the Santa Monica Airport, this cozy restaurant specializes
in American dishes where patrons tend to favor pasta, seafood and
steaks. Waitresses are friendly, food is good. Expect the average
entrée to cost in the range of $8 to $12. Open Sunday–Thursday,
7:30–9:00 p.m.; until 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
TITO’s TACOS: 11222 Washington Place, Culver City It’s just a
carry-out, but as they advertise, it’s worth standing in line for. Tito’s
Tacos has been serving some of the best tacos around since 1959.
Phone orders not accepted, and there’s always a line. Check it out!

Truxton’s serves a variety of classic and ethnic American dishes with
a twist, all at moderate prices. Try their Brisket Plate, Miso Salmon
or If Only Mama Had a Rotisserie Chicken Plate. For sides, they
serve Sweet Potato Fries, Parmesan Garlic Fries, Smashed Potatoes
and more. Save room for dessert: Childhood Memories is their
version of a hostess cupcake and a twinkie, plus a rice crispy treat.
Their Sinful Sundae Sandwich is huge. Full bar, nice wine list.

Unique pizza from a wood burning oven and pasta
predominate. Try the smoked salmon and dill cream pizza, the
four-cheese ravioli with olives and capers or the wild mushroom
tortellini. There is also the famous Wolfgang Chinois Chicken Salad
with Jamaican barbecue sauce. Bright cheerful atmosphere, colorfully

This is an authentic British pub featuring British
specialties such as fish and chips, Scotch eggs and steak and kidney
pie at very modest prices. The three dining rooms are decorated
like country inns, plus there is a pub area where one can usually
find a dart game in progress. Domestic and British brews are
