Recreational Facilities

Los Angeles Tennis Center (LATC)
Located west of Pauley Pavilion and south of Drake Stadium
Court hours: Monday–Friday:
7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday:
7:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Marina Aquatic Center
14001 Fiji Way, Marina del Rey: 823-0048.
The UCLA Marina Aquatic Center (MAC) is UCLA’s oceanside recreation facility, located 10 miles south of campus in scenic Marina del Rey. The MAC is home to sailing classes and clubs, rowing classes, kayaking classes and trips, windsurfing classes and trips, surfing classes and clinics, the UCLA Crew Teams (Women and Men), UCLA Sailing Team, the MAC Junior Crew team, and Youth and Junior Boating Programs and classes. Windsurfing is not permitted in Marina del Rey on the weekends due to excessive boat traffic; weekend windsurfing classes are held at Cabrillo Beach. The MAC features dock access to both Marina del Rey and Ballona Creek, bike racks, locker-room and shower use, barbecue, firepit, easy walking access to Playa del Rey Beach and great sunset views.

Open Recreation
Many of the recreation facilities are available for unsupervised and free workouts at your convenience during Open Recreation hours. The John Wooden Center, IM Field, Drake Stadium, North Pool, Sunset Canyon Rec Center, Fit Center South and the Marina Aquatic Center are all open at various times throughout the week

Outdoor Adventures
Outdoor Adventures offers students and members a chance to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life to enjoy the wonders of local and distant mountains and waterways. The Outdoor Adventure Center is located in the John Wooden Center and offers outdoor recreation equipment rental, an outdoor resource center, and bike shop with complete service and repair. In addition to wilderness trips and group adventures, Outdoor Adventures operates the Challenge Ropes Course at Sunset Canyon Recreation Center and the Rock Wall in the John Wooden Center. Pauley Pavilion

Pauley Pavilion accommodates three regulation basketball courts or six regulation volleyball courts. The Event Facilities Management Office is located at Gate 1 on the concourse level.

Rock Climbing Wall
Reservations: 310-825-1252
The Rock Wall is located inside the John Wooden Center. It is designed for all levels of climbers, with dozens of indoor climbs and 15 climbing ropes.

Sunset Canyon Recreation Center (SCRC)
Hours: Every day, 10:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.

This parklike facility, which offers year-round recreation, features a 50-meter pool with diving facilities, a 25-yard family pool, picnic/barbecue areas, a sand volleyball court, 8 lighted regulation tennis courts, 2 multipurpose sport courts, the Challenge Course, where groups and individuals can address team building and organizational issues, and large grassy areas for sunning and Frisbee. Also available are various meeting rooms and lounges, adjacent parking, and access for people with disabilities. Equipment available for check out include volleyballs, basketballs, swim paddles, kickboards, pull buoys, and fins. Bicycles, pets, glass, and smoking are not permitted.

Sycamore Park
Located on the western edge of the campus, equipment includes 6 tennis courts and a golf chipping area and putting green. Information/reservations: 310-825-4546

Youth and Family Programs — An exciting schedule of yearround activities for children ages 18 months to 17 years is offered. Summer programs include Bruin Kids Day Camp (ages 5–12), Camp Explore (ages 12–14), Camp Voyager, Camp Xtreme and UCLA Summer Program for High School Students, group and private lessons and special events. Swimming and tennis classes as well as Teen Outdoor Adventure programs are also offered during the summer. Additionally, a variety of programs and special events are designed for family participation
