BICYCLES - If you ride your bicycle to the Medical Center, you may park in a specially designated area located in the CHS Parking Structure on the A level. This area is kept locked and bicycle racks are provided; however, you must supply your own chain lock. See the House Staff Office for access to this area (825-8307).

If you are bicycling for recreation, the most popular bike path runs for miles along the beach. Another much-used route runs along San Vicente Boulevard in West L.A. and stretches to the ocean.

Because bicycles are road vehicles and are regulated by state and city laws, all bicycles are required to be licensed. The UCLA Campus Police Department provides free bicycle registration in their office located at 601 Westwood Plaza. Call 310-794-RIDE for a map of designated bicycle parking areas on campus.

BUSES - If you don’t have a car or bicycle you may consider riding the bus. There are 10 direct bus lines to campus. Major bus companies are the Santa Monica Municipal Bus Lines (the “Big Blue Buses”) 310-451-5444, the Culver City Bus Lines 310-253-6500 and the MTA (Metropolitan Transportation Authority) 213-626-4455.
